Purposes

Handling contact requests; assessing and managing pre-adoption, adoption, membership and foster-home applications; communicating with interested people; preventing abuse; and, where applicable, following up an adoption.

Data processed

Identification and contact details, together with information about housing, household, routine, experience, motivation, fostering availability, proposed membership contribution and payment frequency. Bank details are not collected through the membership form. Please do not provide special-category data unless expressly necessary.

Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent and on pre-contractual steps requested by you in connection with a possible adoption. Technical security logs rely on the legitimate interest in preventing abuse.

Retention

Data is retained while the request and any subsequent adoption follow-up are assessed and managed. It is then erased or restricted when no longer needed, subject to legal obligations or potential claims.

Recipients and providers

The information is sent to the relevant APADAC team. Netcup provides the web infrastructure and Cyberneticos provides email services as technical processors. Data is not sold and is only disclosed where legally required or necessary for the adoption process.

International transfers

No international data transfers are currently intended. If future services require them, the relevant safeguards will be reviewed and this policy updated.

Automated decisions

APADAC does not make decisions based solely on automated processing and does not create advertising profiles.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw consent at any time for future processing. Contact the email address below and describe your request.
